ART 365Z - Introduction to Metalwork

3 cr.
This advanced sculpture course is an introduction to basic metal working techniques as they relate to three-dimensional form and space. Assignments will focus on the techniques and concepts of working with metal. Course work will cover cold-cutting, bending and joining and braising. Finishing methods will be demonstrated. Technical instruction on the use of power tools to drill, cut, sand, and grind will be covered. Prerequisite(s): ART 130Z . Corequisite(s): ART 368Z. Four hours.
