JCS 497 - Justice and Criminal Studies Capstone

3 cr.
This culminating course provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills gained through their undergraduate studies in criminal justice to a critical analysis of contemporary issues and problems related to crime, justice, and communities. Classroom readings and discussions will encourage critical reflection on the future of criminal justice in the United States and the role of students in shaping that future. Students will complete and present an in-depth research project on some aspect of justice and crime. Prerequisite(s): Majors Only; Completion of Criminal Justice major coursework or permission of instructor.
