Requirements

In order to remain an active member in the Program, lower division students must maintain a minimum 3.3 cumulative index, while upper division students are required to maintain a 3.5 minimum cumulative index. In addition, Honors students must be enrolled in Honors coursework each semester they are on campus to maintain active status. Honors work may not be audited or taken for a pass/fail grade.

Seniors who wish to earn an Honors Diploma must have attained a 3.5 minimum cumulative index, a 3.5 minimum index in Honors work, completed eight Honors projects or seminars (including Junior Colloquium and Senior Symposium) and have been active in Honors leadership roles. Departmental Honors awards within the Honors Program will be given to seniors who have completed a minimum of five Honors projects or seminars, maintained a 3.5 minimum index in Honors work, have active membership in the Honors Program, and have significantly participated in Honors Program activities.
